In Canada, BMT provides leading-edge naval architecture, marine system design, structural and metallurgical engineering and program management services to the defence and security, commercial marine, and energy sectors. We support our customers coast-to-coast from offices in Victoria BC, Calgary AB, Ottawa ON, and Halifax NS, employing over 120 engineers, technologists, scientists, and project management specialists.

BMT provides specialist engineering, naval architectural and project management resource consultancy services to in-service support prime contractors in support of RCN Surface Ships and Submarines, Canadian Coast Guard vessels, and several commercial operators. BMT staff routinely undertake tasks including engineering, design, production, and implementation of Engineering Changes (ECs) which includes drawings, detailed instructions, and engineering justification in accordance with client documents and quality control requirements. BMT also provides build and commissioning support on site.

BMT’s breadth and depth of experience in the acquisition and through life support of marine platforms, combined with our collaborative culture and responsive approach, have established a proven track record of high-quality delivery. This experience is honed through the provision of support to the Royal Canadian Navy through long-standing engineering support frameworks and to various industry partners through commercial arrangements.
